Weathervane Prep offers different options to meet your student’s needs.

 

one-on-one test prep coaching

Working with students one-on-one for ACT and/or SAT test prep coaching. Sessions are 1 1/2 hours in length. We recommend meeting for 12 sessions (preferably once a week) prior to the first test once your student has started working with Weathervane Prep. ($120 - 1 1/2 hours)

college admissions coaching

We will assist students with the college application process, including the common application, common application essay, college application (there is a difference between the common application & the college application), college essays, resume building, and general assistance (i.e. deferment/wait listed process). ($120 - 1 1/2 hours)

summer SESSION
CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Condensed sessions allow for us to accommodate students with busy summer schedules. Your student will receive the same information as the one-on-one sessions, but in an intensive 4 week summer session.

Currently scheduled for June 7-July 1st. Meetings will take place on Mondays and Thursdays. Weeks 1-3 will meet from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Week 4 will meet from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Registration and prepayment required by June 2.

Maximum class size - 10 students. Minimum of 3 students registered for the session to move forward.

Small group sessions

Working with students in a small group setting. Your student will receive the same information as the one-on-one students, but in a small group size.

Maximum class size - 10 students. Minimum of 3 students registered for the small group session to move forward.

Sessions will take place once a week for 1 1/2 hours. 12 sessions total. Schedule to be determined. Registration and prepayment required.

Video classes

Experience a one-on-one style session, learning the same information as in-person students but at your own pace. These are pre-recorded classes that go over all of the curriculum and/or strategies for each section of the test.

Office Hours

This option is available for all current and/or former students. Offering a monthly 60 minute meeting via an online conference site. There is no limit as to number of students that can log on to the meeting. We will discuss strategies, problems, questions, and concerns. Office Hours will be ongoing and will require an RSVP in order to receive the online conference link.


General Prep Schedule

  • The first hour is devoted to working on test strategies for the ACT and/or SAT; written English (usage/mechanics/punctuation) skills and rhetorical skills (style/organization); reading comprehension skills; interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating science-based questions for the ACT; and mathematical skills (numbers and operations/algebra and functions/geometry/data analysis)

  • The second hour is devoted to the students working on an actual ACT and/or SAT test sections. I will also determine the student's strengths and weaknesses and develop individualized work for each student

  • Depending upon need - we may spend the entire session working on strategies or test sections
